Gmail - Company

Send emails from your own Gmail address instead of Journeybee's email service. This makes your emails look more professional and helps build trust with your partners.

Why Connect Gmail?

When you connect your Gmail account:

  • Emails come from your professional company email address

  • Recipients recognise your companies email address and trust it more

  • Better chance emails won't go to spam

  • If Gmail has issues, Journeybee automatically sends emails for you

Before You Start

You'll need:

  • A Gmail or Google Workspace account

  • Admin or Partnership Manager role in Journeybee

  • Access to your Google account

How to Connect Gmail

Step 1: Go to Integrations

  1. Click Settings in your Journeybee dashboard

  2. Click Integrations in the left menu

  3. Find Gmail and click Connect

Step 2: Sign in to Google

  1. Google will open in a new window

  2. Sign in to the Gmail account you want to use

  3. Google will ask for permission to let Journeybee send emails

  4. Click Allow to give permission

  5. You'll return to Journeybee with a success message

Step 3: Check It's Connected

Back in Journeybee, you should see Gmail showing as Connected with your email address displayed.

Best Email to Use?

We recommend using a team email rather than a persons email for team sizes over 3. So a partners@yourdomain.com is perfect as you can share the email address across your team and keep every Journeybee partner specific email coming from a single point.

What Emails Use Gmail?

Once connected, these emails will be sent from your Gmail:

  • New lead notifications to partners

  • Partnership invitations

  • User invitations

  • Lead assignments

All other emails (like password resets) still use Journeybee's email service.

Checking Your Email History

To see which emails were sent via Gmail:

  1. Go to Settings > Emails

  2. Look for the blue Gmail badge next to emails

  3. Purple Journeybee badges show emails sent via our service

Disconnecting Gmail

To stop using Gmail:

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations

  2. Find Gmail and click Disconnect

  3. Confirm when asked

After disconnecting, all emails will use Journeybee's email service again.

Common Problems

Gmail Emails Not Working

  • Check Gmail is still connected in Settings > Integrations

  • Make sure your Google account is working normally

  • Try disconnecting and reconnecting Gmail

Emails Still Using Journeybee Instead of Gmail

This happens when:

  • Gmail integration got disconnected

  • Your Gmail account hit daily sending limits

  • There's a problem with your Google account

Can't Connect Gmail

  • Make sure you're using the right Google account

  • Check if two-factor authentication is blocking the connection

  • Try clearing your browser cookies and trying again

Important Notes

Your Gmail Account Stays Private

  • Journeybee can only send emails, not read your existing emails

  • We don't store your Gmail password

  • You can remove access anytime through your Google account settings

Email Limits

  • Gmail has daily sending limits (usually 500-2000 emails per day)

  • If you hit the limit, emails automatically switch to Journeybee's service

  • Google Workspace accounts have higher limits

Professional Setup

  • Use a professional email address (ideally with your company domain)

  • Keep your Gmail signature professional

  • Make sure your Gmail account stays active and secure

Getting Help

If you're having trouble:

  1. Check your email history in Settings > Emails to see any error messages

  2. Try disconnecting and reconnecting Gmail

  3. Contact support with your company name and the specific problem
