Marketing Email Templates

Marketing Email Templates

Marketing email templates let you design reusable emails for your campaigns. Templates are built using a drag-and-drop block editor and compiled to HTML for email clients. You can personalise templates with partner variables.

Where to find it: Go to Campaigns, then click the Templates tab. Click New Template to create one. Requires the Marketing module to be enabled.

The template editor

The template editor has three tabs: Content, Preview, and Settings.

Content tab

Build your email using a drag-and-drop block editor. Drag blocks from the sidebar onto the canvas, then click each block to configure it. The editor supports real-time preview as you build.

Block types include text blocks (with formatting, links, and variables), images, buttons, dividers, and spacer blocks. The content is compiled to email-safe HTML using MJML, so it renders correctly across email clients.

Preview tab

See how your email will look in both desktop and mobile views. Toggle between desktop and mobile previews to make sure your template looks good on all devices.

Settings tab

  • Name: The template name.

  • Subject: The email subject line.

  • Live: Toggle the template between Live and Draft. Only Live templates can be used in campaigns.

  • Partner visible: If enabled, partners can see and use this template in their own marketing.

Personalisation variables

You can insert variables into text blocks to personalise the email for each recipient. Type {{ to trigger the variable insertion menu. Available variables include:

  • {{partner_name}}: The partner company name.

  • {{partner_tier}}: The partner's tier.

  • {{partner_category}}: The partner's category.

  • {{partner_stage}}: The partner's partnership stage.

  • {{custom_field_*}}: Any custom field you have set up for partners.

Variables are replaced with the partner's information when the email is sent, so each recipient gets a personalised version.

Using templates in campaigns

Once a template is set to Live, you can select it in a campaign's Email module. When the campaign email is sent, each recipient receives a personalised version with their variables resolved.

The email send pipeline includes suppression list checking and unsubscribe token generation, so recipients can opt out if needed.

Good to know

  • The block editor compiles to MJML for cross-email-client compatibility.

  • Always send a test email to yourself before sending to partners.

  • You can share templates with partners by enabling the Partner visible toggle.

  • Archived templates are hidden but can be restored.
