Building Certifications

Building Certifications

Certifications let you create training programs that partners can complete to earn credentials. A certification has an introduction, a curriculum of resources, and an optional final assessment (quiz). You can track enrolment, progress, and pass rates from the dashboard.

Where to find it: Go to Resources, then click the Certifications tab. Requires the LMS module to be enabled.

Creating a certification

  1. Go to Resources and click the Create dropdown.

  2. Select Certification.

  3. A blank certification is created and the certification builder opens.

The certification builder

Add a title, description, and cover image at the top. The builder has three main sections:

Introduction

Add content blocks to introduce the certification. Available block types include Text, Link, Image, Video Upload, Document, Files, PowerPoint, Embed, and Quiz.

Curriculum

Drag resources from the sidebar to build the curriculum. These are the resources (documents, videos, etc.) that partners need to review before taking the final assessment. You can also create new resources directly from the sidebar.

Final Assessment

Add a quiz as the final assessment. Configure:

  • Questions: Multiple-choice questions with options and a correct answer. Drag to reorder.

  • Passing Score: The minimum percentage required to pass (default 70%).

  • Show Correct Answers: Whether to show correct answers after submission.

  • Randomize Questions: Shuffle question order for each attempt.

  • Max Attempts: Limit the number of attempts (leave empty for unlimited).

  • Require curriculum completion first: Partners must complete all curriculum resources before taking the assessment.

The assessment can be Required or Optional.

Certification settings

The certification builder also has tabs for Preview, Resources, and Settings.

Settings tab

  • Certification type: Shared (visible to partners) or Internal (your team only).

  • Partner type: Which partner types can access this certification (Referral, Reseller, or Distributor).

  • Prerequisite certification: Require partners to complete another certification first.

  • Access controls: Restrict by categories, tiers, stages, contact tags, or specific partners.

Managing certifications

  • Archive: Hide the certification from partners without deleting it. Can be restored.

  • Delete: Permanently remove the certification.

  • Certifications can be organised in folders, just like resources.

Good to know

  • Certifications require the LMS module to be enabled.

  • You can set prerequisite certifications to create a learning path.

  • Enrolment and progress are tracked automatically. See the dashboard Certifications view for analytics.

  • If a resource is part of a certification, its access settings are inherited from the certification.
