Overview: Certification Structure
A complete certification program consists of:
Certification metadata - Title, description, cover image, duration
Introduction blocks - Optional content introducing the certification
Curriculum - Ordered list of training resources
Quiz blocks - Interactive tests within resources (optional)
Final assessment - Comprehensive test at the end (optional)
Access controls - Who can see and enroll in the certification
Creating a New Certification
Step 1: Navigate to Certifications
Go to the Certifications page in your admin dashboard
Click New Certification
Step 2: Basic Information
Fill in the certification details:
Title: Clear, descriptive name (e.g., "Product Fundamentals Certification")
Summary: Brief description shown on certification cards
Cover Image: Visual branding for the certification
Duration: Estimated time to complete (optional)
Step 3: Introduction Content
Add introduction blocks to welcome partners to the certification:
Click in the introduction area
Add text, images, or video blocks
Explain what partners will learn and why it matters
Building the Curriculum
Adding Resources
In the Curriculum section, click Add Resource
Select from your existing resources library
Drag to reorder resources in the curriculum
Resource Configuration
For each resource in the curriculum:
Required vs Optional
Toggle Required to determine if completion is mandatory
Optional resources do not block certification completion
Prerequisites
Set a prerequisite resource that must be completed first
Partners see a lock icon until they complete the prerequisite
Ordering
Drag resources to set the completion order
Number indicators show the suggested sequence
Adding Quiz Blocks to Resources
Quiz blocks are interactive assessments added directly within resource content. They test partner knowledge on specific topics covered in that resource.
Creating a Quiz Block
Open the resource you want to add a quiz to
Click the + button to add a new block
Select Quiz from the block types
The quiz builder opens
Quiz Settings
Configure your quiz behaviour:
Passing Score
Set the percentage needed to pass (default: 70%)
Example: 70% means partners must answer 7 of 10 questions correctly
Maximum Attempts
Leave empty for unlimited attempts
Set a number to limit retakes (e.g., 3 attempts)
Show Correct Answers
Enable to show correct answers after submission
Partners see what they got wrong and why
Randomise Questions
Enable to shuffle question order for each attempt
Helps prevent memorisation of answer patterns
Adding Questions
Click Add Question to create a new quiz question. Each question needs:
Question Text
Enter the question clearly and concisely
Avoid ambiguous wording
Question Type Choose from three types:
Multiple Choice
Add 2-10 answer options
Select one or more correct answers
Enable "Multiple answers" if more than one is correct
True/False
Simple binary choice
Options are automatically set to True and False
Select which is correct
Short Answer
Partners type their answer
Set the expected correct answer
Matching is case-insensitive
Explanation (Optional)
Add explanation text for the correct answer
Shown to partners after submission (if "Show Correct Answers" is enabled)
Helps partners learn from mistakes
Managing Questions
Reordering
Drag questions in the sidebar to change their order
Editing
Click any question in the sidebar to edit it
Deleting
Hover over a question and click the trash icon
Confirm deletion (this cannot be undone)
Quiz Best Practices
Keep quizzes focused on key concepts from the resource
Use 5-15 questions per quiz for optimal engagement
Mix question types for variety
Provide clear explanations for incorrect answers
Set reasonable passing scores (70-80% recommended)
Allow multiple attempts to encourage learning
Building Final Assessments
Final assessments are comprehensive quizzes that test knowledge across the entire certification curriculum. They appear after the curriculum section.
Adding a Final Assessment
Open the certification builder
Scroll to the Final Assessment section
Click Add Assessment
Assessment Configuration
Required to Complete
Enable if partners must pass to earn the certificate
Disable to make the assessment optional
Require Curriculum Completion First
Enable to lock the assessment until all resources are done
Partners must complete the curriculum before attempting
Building Assessment Questions
The assessment builder works identically to quiz blocks:
Configure settings (passing score, max attempts, etc.)
Add questions using the question builder
Set correct answers and explanations
Reorder questions as needed
Assessment Best Practices
Cover key concepts from all curriculum resources
Use 10-25 questions for comprehensive assessment
Set passing score at 70-80%
Allow 2-3 attempts for fairness
Enable "Require curriculum completion" to ensure learning before testing
Access Control
Control which partners can access your certification.
Partner Type Visibility
Enable access for specific partner types:
Referral Partners
Reseller Partners
Distributor Partners
Category and Tier Restrictions
Restrict access based on:
Categories: Only partners in specified categories
Tiers: Only partners at specified tier levels
Partnership Stages: Only partners at certain stages
Specific Partner Access
Grant access to individual partnerships:
Add specific partnerships to the access list
Those partners see the certification regardless of other filters
Publishing Your Certification
Draft vs Live
Draft: Only visible to administrators
Live: Published and visible to partners with access
Publishing Checklist
Before publishing, verify:
Title and summary are clear and accurate
Introduction content is complete
All curriculum resources are added and ordered
Quiz blocks have questions and correct answers set
Final assessment is configured (if used)
Access controls are set correctly
Test the certification flow as a partner would experience it
Making Live
Review all certification content
Toggle the Live switch
The certification becomes visible to eligible partners
Monitoring Partner Progress
Viewing Enrollments
Track how partners are progressing:
Open the certification
View enrollment statistics
See completion rates and average scores
Progress Metrics
Monitor:
Number of enrolments
Completion rates
Average time to complete
Quiz and assessment scores
Drop-off points in the curriculum
Certificate Generation
How Certificates Work
When partners complete all requirements:
Their status changes to "Completed"
A certificate becomes available
Partners can view, download, and share their certificate
Certificate Content
Certificates automatically include:
Partner's name
Certification title
Completion date
Your company name and logo
Unique reference number
Customising Appearance
Certificates use your company branding:
Company logo (full or square version)
Primary brand color for accents
Company name as the issuing organisation
Troubleshooting
Partners Cannot See Certification
Check:
Certification is set to Live
Partner type visibility is enabled
Category/tier restrictions match the partner
Specific partnership access (if used)
Quiz Not Saving
Check:
All required fields are filled
Questions have correct answers selected
No browser console errors
Assessment Results Not Showing
Check:
Partner is enrolled in the certification
Curriculum completion requirement is met (if enabled)
Max attempts have not been exceeded
Progress Not Updating
Check:
Resources are correctly linked to certification
Quiz blocks are properly configured
No server/network errors during submission
