What are Custom Fields?
Custom Fields let you capture additional information specific to your business needs beyond the standard partner and lead data. You can create fields to track industry-specific details, qualification criteria, or any other information that's important for your partner programme.
What's on the Custom Fields Page
The Custom Fields settings page allows you to create and manage additional data points:
Field Types Available
Text: Short text responses (e.g., company size, specialisation)
Long Text: Multi-line text for detailed responses (e.g., project descriptions)
Number: Numerical values (e.g., annual revenue, employee count)
Date: Date selection (e.g., certification expiry, contract renewal)
Select: Dropdown options (e.g., industry type, partner status)
Multi-Select: Multiple choice options (e.g., product interests, services offered)
Yes/No: Boolean choices (e.g., certified partner, exclusive territory)
Field Configuration
Field Name: The label that appears to users
Field Type: Choose from the available field types
Required: Make fields mandatory or optional
Placeholder Text: Helpful hints for users
Options: For select fields, define the available choices
Partner Types: Specify which partner types see this field
Visibility: Control who can see and edit the field
How to Use It
Creating a New Custom Field
Click "Create Field" to start building a new field
Enter a clear, descriptive field name
Choose the appropriate field type for your data
Set whether the field is required or optional
Add placeholder text to guide users
For select fields, add your dropdown options
Choose which partner types should see this field
Set visibility permissions (partner-editable, admin-only, etc.)
Click "Save" to create the field
Managing Existing Fields
Edit: Modify field properties, options, or settings
Reorder: Drag fields to change their display order
Archive: Hide fields without losing existing data
Delete: Permanently remove fields (this will delete all data)

Important Notes
Only Admin and Partnership users can create and manage custom fields
Changes to field options affect all existing data
Deleting fields permanently removes all associated data

Technical Considerations
Data Limits
Text fields: 255 characters maximum
Long text fields: 2000 characters maximum
Select fields: Maximum 50 options recommended
Multi-select: Users can choose multiple options
Performance
