Deleting a Partner

In Journeybee, you do not permanently delete a partner. Instead, you archive them. Archiving removes their access to the partner portal and takes them out of your active partner list, while keeping their records for reference.

Who can archive: Team members with the Admin or Partnerships role.

How to archive a partner

  1. Go to Partners and open the partner you want to remove.

  2. Click the more menu (three dots) at the top of the partner panel.

  3. Select Archive.

  4. A confirmation box appears. Click Archive to confirm.

What happens when you archive

  • The partner is removed from your active partner list, and no longer appears in partner analytics, leaderboards, or dashboard reporting.

  • The partner and all their contacts immediately lose access to the partner portal.

  • Any leads and deals linked to the partner stay in your Leads and Deals lists. Archiving the partner does not remove or archive their leads, deals, notes, emails, or history — those records are retained.

  • If you have a CRM or webhooks connected, they are notified that the partner was removed, and the partner stops syncing from that point on. Leads and deals continue to sync as normal.

  • Archiving cannot be undone from within Journeybee. To bring an archived partner back, add them again or contact Journeybee support.

An alternative: setting a partner to Offline

If you want to temporarily remove a partner's portal access without archiving them, change their status to Offline from the Details tab on their partner page. This keeps the partner in your active list — and in your analytics and reporting — but blocks the partner and their contacts from the portal. You can switch them back to Live at any time to restore access.

This is useful for seasonal partners or those on a temporary hold. Note that changing a partner between Live and Offline requires the Admin role.

If you only need to remove one person rather than the whole partner, disable that individual contact instead.

Good to know

  • Archiving is the closest thing to deleting a partner in Journeybee. The partner's records are retained, not erased.

  • Only Admin or Partnerships users can archive a partner. Switching a partner between Live and Offline is Admin-only.

  • Archiving can't be reversed in the app, and there's no built-in view of archived partners. To fully remove a partner's data, contact Journeybee support.

  • Before archiving, check whether the partner has any open deals or pending commissions that still need attention.
