Objects
Objects is where you set up the records your partner programme is built on: leads, deals, partners and contacts. Each object has its own page, with tabs for its fields, stages, tags and other settings, so everything about one kind of record is in one place.
Where to find it: Go to Settings, then Objects (under Partner Program).
Who can use this: Admins and Partnerships team members. You need a paid Journeybee plan.
The objects
The Objects page lists four objects. Click one to open it. If your company uses its own names for leads and deals, those names are shown here.
Leads: opportunities partners refer to you or you pass to them, before they become deals.
Deals: deals you work on with partners, with their value, stage and commission.
Partners: the companies in your partner programme, with their stage, category and tier.
Contacts: the people at your partners who use your portal and receive your emails.
Tabs on each object
An object opens on its Fields tab. These are the tabs each object has:
Leads: Configuration, Fields, Tags, Rules.
Deals: Configuration, Fields, Stages, Tags, Rules, and Co-selling roles when Co-selling is on.
Partners: Configuration, Fields, Stages, Categories, Tiers, Tags.
Contacts: Configuration, Fields, Tags.
Each tab has its own article:
Fields: Custom Fields
Stages: Stages
Tags: Tags
Categories, Tiers and Co-selling roles: Categories & Tiers
Rules: Custom Field Rules
Configuration
On the Leads and Deals objects, the Configuration tab is where you rename the object, for example calling leads "Referrals". The new name is used for your team and your partners in the app, partner portals and forms, in every language. Only admins can rename an object.
The names of Partners and Contacts are fixed and can't be changed.
How changes save
To create or edit a field, stage, category, tier, tag, rule or role, you use a side panel. Your changes save when you click Save in the panel, and each item saves on its own.
If you close a panel without saving, Journeybee asks you to confirm before your changes are lost. Choose Keep editing to go back to them.
When you drag custom fields or stages into a new order, the new order saves as soon as you drop them.
Who can do what
Admins can use every tab.
Partnerships team members can manage fields, stages, categories, tiers and tags. They can view rules but not change them, and they don't see the Co-selling roles tab or rename objects.
Other team members can't open Objects.
Troubleshooting
I can't find Custom Fields, Stages, Categories or Tags in Settings. They are now tabs on the objects described above. Old links and bookmarks to those pages open the matching tab.
I can't find tags for projects, resources or campaigns. Objects covers tags for leads, deals, partners and contacts only. Tags you already use on projects, resources and campaigns stay on them and can still be picked.
I don't see the Co-selling roles tab. It appears on Deals for admins when Co-selling is on.
