Slack Integration

The Slack integration lets you create leads and sync messages between Journeybee and Slack. You can create leads directly from Slack using slash commands, link Slack channels to Journeybee message rooms for two-way sync, and receive notifications in Slack.

Where to find it: Go to Settings, then Integrations. Find Slack under the Communication section.

Connecting Slack

Go to Settings, then Integrations, and click the Slack card.
Click Connect to start the OAuth2 installation flow.
You will be redirected to Slack to authorize the connection.
Once authorized, you will be taken to the configuration page.

Creating leads from Slack

Once connected, you can create leads directly in Slack using slash commands. A three-step modal flow guides you through:

Step 1: Choose the partner and lead direction (Received or Sent).
Step 2: Enter lead details (company name, contact info).
Step 3: Fill in custom fields and any final details.

The lead is created in Journeybee and associated with the selected partner.

Two-way message sync

You can link a Slack channel to a Journeybee message room for two-way message syncing:

Journeybee to Slack: When a message is posted in a linked Journeybee room, it automatically appears in the linked Slack channel.
Slack to Journeybee: When a message is posted in the linked Slack channel, it appears in the Journeybee message room. File shares from Slack are also synced.

To link a channel, go to a partner's Messages tab and connect a Slack channel. You can disconnect at any time.

Notifications

Journeybee can send notifications to Slack channels for important events, such as new leads, deal updates, and partner activity. These notifications are configured through the notification settings.

Good to know

Slack uses OAuth2 for authentication, so your team does not need to enter API keys manually.
Both public and private Slack channels can be linked to Journeybee rooms.
Message edits and deletes are synced in both directions.
File shares from Slack are uploaded to Journeybee as assets.
Bot messages from Slack are not synced to Journeybee.
